Dragon Age II is a 2011 single-player, action role-playing game (RPG) developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts (EA). It is the sequel to 2009's Dragon Age: Origins and the second major game in the Dragon Age series. 
In Dragon Age II, players take on the role of Hawke, a human refugee who arrives in the city of Kirkwall and becomes its champion over the course of a decade. Players can choose Hawke's class and sex, and their decisions impact the story. The game is set in the medieval world of Thedas, which is invaded by demonic Darkspawn, and racial, religious, and political tensions threaten to tear Kirkwall apart. Players explore the city from a third-person perspective, engage in combat, and encounter companions who play important roles in the game's plot and gameplay.
